Imagine there was a secret to confidence. Something successful people seem to know innately, but the rest of us never got taught…

When I was 4 years old, my favourite book was The Owl Who Was Afraid of The Dark by Jill Tomlinson. I’ve since read it to my three children more times than we can all count.

It's about Plop, a baby owl too scared to fly at night, who discovers courage by talking to others who love the dark - a boy scout, a black cat, a little girl waiting for Father Christmas.

As a confidence coach, I've spent the last ten years doing something similar: helping people rewrite the stories they tell themselves about what's possible.

I’ve also spent many years of my own life ‘performing’ confidence I didn’t fully believe. I wanted to understand what real, grounded confidence feels like.

Here's what I've learned: As soon as you believe something's possible, you become more confident. It's that simple and that transformative.

The problem is: most of us are stuck seeing our limitations instead of our potential.

We need what Plop needed - other voices showing us a different way to look at the dark.

So, inspired by my favourite childhood book, I bring you In Confidence: Stories of Courage and Transformation.

Just like Plop, I'll be talking to people who've learned to see possibility where others see obstacles, and sharing the conversations that changed everything for them.

Sometimes all it takes is one story to help you see what's been possible all along.
